Jungle Baked Oats

This baked oats recipe is packed with the goodness of Jungle. This recipe shows a new way to present a favourite breakfast staple by baking the oats individually.  
  • 1 Banana, ripe
  • 125 g Jungle Oats
  • 15 ml Sugar
  • 2,5 ml Baking powder
  • 2,5 ml Vanilla essence
  • 15 ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • Pinch Salt
  • Spray and Cook, to prepare ramekin

Add any of the below flavourings to make breakfast even better:

To make it eggless, replace egg with 15 ml of Chia seeds that have been soaking in water for a few minutes (to allow the seeds to swell up)

For Choc chip: Add 30 g of Beacon Milk Chocolate, chopped                                        

For Blueberry: Add 30 g of Fresh or frozen blueberries                                   

For Peanut butter: Add 30 ml of Blackcat Peanut butter of choice

The possibilities are endless, let your imagination and tastebuds be your guide                                             

  1. Add the ripe banana, egg, oats, salt, vanilla essence, sugar and baking powder to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Transfer mixture to a prepared ramekin or dish of choice that is oven safe. This can be baked individually or scaled up for a buffet style dish.
  3. Top with your chosen flavourant (choc chips, Blackcat Peanut butter or berries).
  4. Bake at 180°C for 15 min.
  5. Garnish and serve.
